Laconia’s clinical approach to musculoskeletal use, tension and release, trigger points, pain, and emotional holding patterns derives from her comprehensive understanding of Chinese medicine’s spirit, organ and channel theories, as well as her eclectic experience in various mind-body-spirit disciplines including Alexander Technique, Butoh dance, Song-to-Speech voice training, Stanislavski, Suzuki and Viewpoints actor training, Shotokan karate, Thai kickboxing and yoga. Laconia enjoys working with teens, young adults, men and women in their mano/menopausal years, anyone in the midst of major life transition, and people experiencing anxiety and depression. She has a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) from New England School of Acupuncture with a Diplomat in Oriental Medicine. She has National Certification from the Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is a Certified Auricular therapist from the Auriculo Therapy Institute and is a Certified Reiki practitioner. Bok Nam studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) under well known professors in the field of TCM.  Her clinical experiences include New England School of Acupuncture clinics, Pathways to Wellness, Boston Medical Center, and a private men’s health acupuncture clinic in Boston with a clinical focus in men’s health and treats symptoms of prostate health including frequent, hesitant, urgent urination, premature ejaculation, retro ejaculation, delayed ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, fertility, stress, joint and muscle pain. She discovered the effect of TCM by accident, during her personal illness. She had suffered many years on and off with ear infections, which were treated with antibiotics. Antibiotics worked for a while but her ear infections returned right after the last dose of antibiotics. A good friend of hers suggested that she see an acupuncturist.
